Accident Hospital, Children's Hospital on Steelhouse Lane

General Hospital/Children's Hospital - Opened in 1897 as the General Hospital, opened as the Children's Hospital in 1998.

South Tower, One of the oldest tower blocks in Birmingham

South Tower – Located near the junction of Little Hall Road and Great Francis Street, Nechells. One of the first tower blocks to be built in Birmingham. There are 3 other blocks identical to this nearby, they are Home Tower, Queens Tower, and High Tower. There were to be a total of 6 towers, but because of the high cost of each tower only 4 were built. They were constructed using Girders and Brick in 1953 - 1954. Refurbishment of the towers was undertaken between 2018 and 2022.

Home, Queens, and High Tower on Nechells Parkway

Home Tower, Queens Tower, and High Tower – Looking along Nechells Parkway, 3 of the 4 oldest tower blocks in Birmingham, the fourth, South Tower is approximately 200 yards (185 metres) behind these. They were constructed using Girders and Brick in 1953 - 1954. Refurbishment of the towers was undertaken between 2018 and 2022.
