Some Photos Taken Around Malvern
Including Colwall, Ledbury, and Worcester.
This was my first holiday (vacation) by myself, sure I’d been away from home before, but then it was either with other people, or it was to stay with family at their residence. Although it had been 8 years since I had a stroke, I was still lacking in confidence to be out on my own, so why go on holiday on my own? Well, that was an attempt to build more confidence.
So where would that place be? I looked at a map for about 30 minutes and decided somewhere around Malvern was just right, a direct train from New Street Station to Colwall, journey time was around 60 minutes, and the hotel is about 100 yards (90 metres approx) from the station, that seemed the ideal place.
I booked a room for 3 nights, bought my travel tickets, booked time off from work, and packed a suitcase in readiness for my adventure. I had also planned what to see and do whilst I was away, a trip to Ledbury was 7 minutes away by train, and a trip to Worcester was 17 minutes away by train.
Some pictures in this album were taken on different days, and in different weather conditions, some have been rearranged for continuity purposes.

Looking Towards Ledbury - Ledbury is about 4 miles (6.5km) down the line, buy your ticket on the train - if you have time, the journey only lasts about 6 minutes. Image Date: 13/08/2009
