I’m not sure as to when it was demolished, but a guess would be around 1980ish. The Sleeping Giant, a sculpture of a giant head lying on its side is now the focal point on the triangular piece of grassland that was left after the demolition of the pub and adjacent houses.

In the lower image, The Sleeping Giant is visible close to where the pub used to be, many years ago, someone painted the nose of the sculpture blue, this was probably done because the fans of Birmingham City Football Club are referred to as ‘Bluenose’ – a term that dates back to the 1920’s, every now and again, the nose receives a fresh coat of paint by person(s) unknown.

Brer Rabbit – A restaurant situated at the corner of Little Barr Street and Watery Lane, Bordesley, B9. I’m not sure as to when it was demolished, but I reckon that it was c1980, about the time of converting Watery Lane into a dual carriageway (renamed Watery Lane Middleway).
The building on the left apparently supplied motorcycle parts after the second world war, the name on the building now is Myona, they were a private limited company supplying wholesale of clothing, footwear, and cleaning activities. It was Incorporated on 17 November 1964, and dissolved on 02 July 2012, the building has remained empty ever since.
